Are you an experienced Head of Reward looking for a new challenge in 2025? With a seat at the People Leadership team table, you will be responsible for the Reward, Benefits, and International Mobility Teams and establish the strategic direction for our UK business. You will serve as the primary subject matter expert, offering extensive expert advice, guidance, governance, and support to the Board, Leadership, and Group. At AXA, we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team, and our customers. You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home, moving to the majority of your working week from September 2025. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients, or attending industry events. What you'll be doing:
1. Develop and drive the Reward, Benefits, and International Mobility agenda for the AXA UK business, working closely with the rest of the People Leadership Team and business leaders in developing innovative solutions to support the achievement of the strategic targets.
2. Lead the Reward team, with appropriate controls in place, setting the annual plan and ensuring timely and accurate delivery of key reward processes and policies across the AXA UK and other relevant UK entities.
3. Lead the delivery of International Assignment Services across the AXA UK business and other UK Entities to evolve this service to be fit for purpose, efficient, and customer-focused.
4. Contribute to the development and maintenance of People strategies, assessing benefits/risks and addressing the impact on own specialist areas.
5. Provide comprehensive specialist advice/presentations to influence Senior Managers and relevant Board committees on the implications and interpretation of existing and emerging policies within Reward, Benefits, and International Mobility, ensuring information being provided is clearly understood, gaining sign off for changes.
6. Provide specialist consultancy input to projects outside direct area of influence, highlighting areas of improvement and/or change in order to comply with relevant internal/external requirements.
7. Provide advice and guidance to the People Directors on executive compensation decisions and remuneration for regulated staff.
8. Lead, motivate, develop, appraise and have appropriate controls for team members so that the individual and collective performance is of the required standard.

* Organisational Awareness: A very good knowledge of the structures and main operational activities of the business area. A comprehensive knowledge and wide experience of how the business area supports overall business needs.
* Environmental Awareness: A very good knowledge of the environment in which the business operates. A full understanding of the impact of social, economic, statutory, and regulatory change on Reward practices and how such change may affect the customer.
* Influencing: Takes a stand on critical and sensitive issues important to the wellbeing of the business. Empowers and influences key decisions, management, and development of others in the team.
* Analytical: Ability to solve complex problems using a logical, structured approach.
* Relationship Management: Excellent relationship management skills. Proven ability to build and develop relationships across functions and into Group.
* Consulting Skills: Understands and demonstrates the consulting model in delivery and behaviour.
* Specialist Knowledge: Full understanding of Reward and relevant legislation together with good knowledge and experience of the People function beyond own area.
