Location: Coatbridge Sauter Off-site Manufacturing part of the Sauter Group of companies offers our clients an efficient and cost-effective alternative to traditional on-site production and assembly. From our Glasgow facility, we provide a full range of services across the UK. We are currently seeking a Fabrication Manager to join our team and support the growth of our business and the Off-site Manufacturing Manager at our Coatbridge facility. This is an exciting new role where you will work in a dynamic environment supported by our Digital and Technical teams, all based at the same location. The Role This role could be an excellent fit for someone who currently holds a similar position or a Mechanical Engineer looking for a transition away from regular project related travel. Lead, planning, coordination, and execution of manufacturing activities from concept to delivery. Oversee project budgets, production schedules, and resources to ensure on-time delivery within budget constraints. Collaborate with internal and external Digital Engineers, Designers, Project Managers, Clients, Engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to meet project requirements and exceed expectations Supervise the procurement of materials and subcontractor services, negotiating contracts and agreements as needed. Monitor progress, address issues, and ensure adherence to all safety and quality standards. Maintain productivity ensuring optimal value is achieved on all projects. Prepare and maintain documentation according to BS EN 1090 and EN ISO 3834 standards. Identify and address project risks, implementing strategies to minimize disruptions and delays. What you will need to succeed Demonstrated Mechanical Engineer with experience in the construction/fabrication industry, with a focus on steel fabrication and installation. Familiarity with Off-Site Manufacturing (OSM) products and techniques related to Building Services Modularisation, such as plant skids, service module and plant/Energy centres. A solid understanding of steelwork processes, techniques, and regulations. Strong communication and negotiation skills, with a customer-focused approach. Experienced in the role of Responsible Welding Coordinator (RWC). Effective people management skills including leadership, conflict resolution and performance management. Proficiency in Microsoft office, particularly Excel. A Full UK Driving licence It would be great if you Understanding and basic use AutoCAD Packages Have a solid knowledge of structural loads and calculations.
