About the Role Are you an experienced procurement professional that would like to play an important role in transforming public procurement within the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority (LCRCA)? LCRCA is driving up standards and procurement capability. As a Procurement Officer at the Combined Authority, you will find yourself at the center of an exciting and challenging agenda. The work is varied, fast-paced and involves regular contact with internal and external stakeholders. You will work closely with your team members to deliver effective services and key objectives. You will have an opportunity to secure best value for money for all procurement projects and contribute to the achievement of LCRCA overall objectives in terms of social, economic and environmental benefits to our 1.6 million residents. About the person You will have: - A good understanding of public procurement legislation, procurement approaches, techniques, processes, policy and strategy. - Proven experience working within a procurement role. - An understanding of how procurement activity is organised, commercial awareness and procurement skills. - Experience of contract and supplier performance management. - Good people skills and experience of developing and maintaining good relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders. - CIPS level 4 qualification & experience within Public Sector experience About the organisation The Liverpool City Region is world-famous for its history, culture and creativity.
