Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (3:30 PM Finish on Fridays) | On-Site Role
The Company
We are delighted to be working exclusively on behalf of our client, a global manufacturer of electronic components. With a strong presence in Europe, Asia, and the US, their products serve industries such as aerospace, automotive, medical, military, and telecommunications. As they continue to expand, they are looking to strengthen their Health & Safety team with a dedicated Health & Safety Officer.
The Role
Reporting to the Head of Health, Safety and Facilities, the Health & Safety Officer will play a key role in ensuring a safe working environment by maintaining and updating relevant documentation, conducting risk assessments, and supporting compliance with health and safety legislation. This is a hands-on role that requires working closely with multiple departments, including production, warehouse, quality assurance, and site services.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct and review risk assessments to maintain a safe workplace.
Ensure compliance with health & safety legislation and company policies.
Inspect production equipment and processes to identify potential hazards.
Support department managers in implementing health & safety protocols.
Identify opportunities for improvement in workplace safety.
Conduct monthly fire checks, Legionella temperature tests, and collate workplace monitoring data.
Deliver health & safety inductions for new employees.
Oversee contractor safety on-site.
Assist with the safe handling and movement of hazardous substances.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
Proven experience in a similar health & safety role.
IOSH certificate or equivalent experience (essential).
NEBOSH certification (desirable).
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Confident in delivering health & safety inductions and updates.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Strong stakeholder management skills, working effectively across departments.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Salary & Benefits:
Competitive salary (£35,000 - £40,000 DOE).
