ROLE: Sales Manager
LOCATION: Bristol
SALARY: £45,000 - £50,000 + Commission
Overview: An exciting opportunity for an experienced Sales Manager to lead a successful and well-established sales team. This role combines sales strategy development, team leadership, and direct client engagement to drive revenue growth and market share. Reporting to senior leadership, the position requires a results-driven professional with a strong track record of achieving sales growth and building key relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and team targets.
* Develop and execute effective sales strategies to drive growth and achieve business objectives.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, ensuring client satisfaction and loyalty.
* Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, market research, and lead generation.
* Prepare and present tailored proposals to prospective clients.
* Ensure timely and accurate updates of sales pipelines and forecasts.
* Collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless project execution and client delivery.
* Maintain and improve CRM usage and data accuracy across the team.
Sales Leadership:
* Develop and maintain a sales strategy aligned with company goals.
* Generate new leads, follow up on inquiries, and convert opportunities into successful sales.
* Drive repeat business by nurturing existing client relationships.
* Provide detailed performance reports on sales activities and pipeline.
Team Management:
* Oversee day-to-day activities of the sales team, allocating tasks and monitoring performance.
* Conduct appraisals and provide constructive feedback to support employee development.
* Address work quality or interpersonal issues effectively, following company procedures.
* Approve leave requests while ensuring team coverage.
* Act as a liaison between the sales team and senior management.
What We’re Looking For:
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a sales leadership role, ideally within a technical, engineering, or manufacturing sector.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage clients and inspire teams.
* Self-motivated, highly organized, and capable of working autonomously.
* Customer-focused with a passion for achieving and exceeding targets.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with CRM tools like Dynamics is advantageous.
* Ability to quickly grasp technical concepts and industry standards.
