Internal Technical Sales Engineer – Sensor Sales Location: Northamptonshire Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 (DOE) Performance Bonus Benefits: Pension, life insurance, health schemes (optical/dental), income protection, 25 days annual holiday We are seeking a proactive and technically minded Internal Technical Sales Engineer to join our growing sales team. This role involves supporting the sales of industrial sensor solutions across a range of industries, including Automation, Process/Packaging, Medical, Aerospace, Defence, Marine, and Oil & Gas. Key Responsibilities: Provide technical support and guidance on sensor applications to customers Assist external sales engineers with quotations and follow-ups Identify new business opportunities through a proactive sales approach Manage and develop existing accounts with regular communication Collaborate closely with the external sales team on all sales activities Conduct market research to target new sectors and decision-makers Maintain CRM records of sales activities and customer interactions Attend exhibitions and sales meetings as required What We’re Looking For: Previous internal sales experience Technical background in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (qualifications preferred) Experience using a CRM system Strong communication and relationship-building skills Team player with the ability to liaise at all levels Attention to detail with an accurate and methodical approach Self-motivated, proactive, and creative thinker with a drive to succeed This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to develop their career in technical sales within a dynamic and supportive environment.
