1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant - Hammersmith - January 2025 We have a fantastic opportunity for s SEND Teaching assistant to join a wonderful mainstream school in the Hammersmith area. This role requires you to work 1:1 SEND tutoring role with a year 11 students with autism. You will be required to support the student with their Maths & English GCSE until June. The role will be split 3 days at the student's home a week and at school 2 days a week. This is a long-term position, Mon to Frid 10am to 2pm, starting January 2025, prior experience working with SEND students and tutoring preferable. Role: SEND Teaching Assistant Hours: Monday to Friday, 10am to 2pm Start Date: January 2025 Location : Hammersmith About the Role: As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will provide tailored 1:1 academic support to meet the student's individual learning needs. As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will use creative and adaptable teaching strategies to help the student engage with Maths and English. As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will build a positive, trusting relationship to foster the student's confidence and motivation. As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will collaborate with the school and family to ensure continuity of learning and progress. What We're Looking for: Available to work Mon to Fri 10am to 2pm, starting January 2025. Previous experience working with students with autism or SEND in a teaching/tutoring environment preferable in the UK. Strong subject knowledge in Maths and English at GCSE Level. Flexibility to work both in a home and school setting. Must have or willing to obtain an Enhanced Child Only DBS. Live in or near Hammersmith or within a commutable distance.
