The post holder will lead and manage the ophthalmic imaging team based at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital and personally deliver patient care. The team delivers a range of ophthalmic imaging procedures as required, including but not limited to:
1. OCT
2. Anterior OCT
3. HRT
4. Optic disc imaging
5. Colour fundus - high magnification and stereos
6. Fluorescein Angiography
Ophthalmic procedures/assessments include:
1. Performing visual acuity tests using various types of acuity charts as appropriate
2. Instilling eye drops in accordance with approved protocols for patient safety
3. Performing corneal topography/tomography assessments
4. Conducting ophthalmic clinical measurements including:
* Corneal thickness
* Intraocular pressures
* Anterior chamber depth
* Visual field testing
Ensuring data and results generated are securely uploaded to appropriate Trust systems, EPR/CRF.
