The Role:
Plan, provide, evaluate and operationalise trauma informed social work practice for client groups with complex needs across specialist inpatient and outpatient settings around the hospital.
Mentor and supervise social work staff and students based on discipline specific best practice, in alignment with THS North's organisational priorities and goals.
Engage in clinical case reviews, group clinical reasoning sessions and actively participate in seniors' meetings to progress our priorities and goals.
Undertake a significant role in seniors' meetings to plan, develop and review policies and guidelines and functions of the Department of Social Work.
Actively participate in and contribute to the organisations Quality and Safety and Work Health and Safety processes, including the development and implementation of safety systems, improvement initiatives, safeguarding practices for vulnerable people and related trainings.
Details of appointment:
Permanent part time, day worker position, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing 3 March 2025.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Salary: $110,425 to $121,907 pro rata per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Eligibility:
* Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
* Eligible for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
* Overseas qualified Social Work candidates require a positive skill assessment “certification of eligibility” letter from the AASW to confirm their eligibility for membership to the AASW
* Full member of Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
* Current Working with Children Registration
