What will I be doing?
As the Business Development Manager with SCA, your role will be to enhance our business portfolio which includes Counselling and Wellbeing Services, Accessible Holiday Accommodation, Supported Living, Domiciliary Care, Extra Care, and Older Persons Day Care. Reporting directly to the CEO and as a member of SCA’s Executive Management Team, you will be responsible for maintaining and growing the organisation’s external relationships to increase visibility, while overseeing the growth of the business. You will play a crucial role in collaborating with property developers, social landlords, and commissioners to strengthen our presence in the health and social care sector. You will hold responsibility for identifying and pursuing new business and fundraising opportunities in addition to driving the commercialisation of our services, ensuring alignment with our organisational strategy and budgetary targets. The role will be essential in fostering partnerships and advancing our vision and mission to provide high-quality care and support to our local community.
In addition to the above, the post holder will also act as the Group Data Protection Officer and will assist to monitor internal compliance, inform and advise on the organisation’s data protection obligations, provide advice regarding Data Protection Impact Assessments, and act as a contact point for data subjects and the Information Commissioners Office (ICO).
What will I need?

* Have substantial experience, holding a senior business development role, ideally within the health and social care, charitable sectors.
* Demonstrable experience in managing projects and leading initiatives that drive business growth.
* Experience of identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, fundraising, and driving commercialisation of services.
* Experience in partnership development and stakeholder engagement.
* Experience of tendering development and contract management.
* Familiarity with digital marketing, including PPC, SEO, and social media strategies.
* Understanding of data protection regulations in line with the Data Protection Act 2018.

* A salary of between £50,000 and £55,000 dependent upon experience with bonus payments of 2.5% of new business.
