We are currently looking for a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team in Prebendal School, Chichester.

Contract Type : Full Time, Term Time Only
Salary : £23.5k per annum

About the Position
* To work towards the pupil's individualised targets set out within the IEP, in liaison with the class teacher and SENCO.
* To provide learning support for the pupil in class or in intervention areas: 1:1 and small groups.
* To develop knowledge of the particular needs of the pupil and seek advice from the SENCO, class teacher and outside agencies as directed.
* To aid access to the full range of learning experiences both inside and outside the classroom and source modified materials as required e.g. games, visual prompt cards, IT etc.
* To make or modify resources as suggested and advised by the SENCO, Educational Psychologist or other outside agencies.
* To be involved in the planning and preparation of the day to day 1:1 activities.
* To organise and maintain an inclusive learning environment both in the classroom and outside.
* To carry out supervision duties such as lunchtime supervision, as directed by the Head Teacher.
About You
* Work under the supervision of the SENCo
* Experience in supporting children with SEN; specifically, Autism, SALT SEMH and High Potential
* Ensuring the safety of both staff and pupils in accordance with safeguarding procedures.
* Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
* Strong IT skills and experience of assistive technology would be desirable.
* Independent and proactive approach to supporting the pupil and working with staff.
