Rethink Mental Illness are hiring an experienced Team Leader to join our inspiring and friendly team across our two of our Exeter Services, East Devon Supported Living.
Team Leader opportunity – Working hours – 9-5pm – Monday to Friday

Ladysmith Road is a four bed property, staffed 24/7. Here we support people with medium to high needs, using Safety Management Plans and SMART goals to reduce risks and promote recovery. Residents receive 1:1 and shared support. Cowick Street is a five bed property. Staffed 9am-8pm (Mon-Fri) and 9am-5pm (Sat-Sun), where we provide low-level support, focusing on recovery and helping residents to move towards independence.

As Housing Team Leader, you will lead and support the team to deliver a responsive and customer orientated housing and floating support services, supporting the Service Manager with effective management of our housing services.
As a Team Leader you will:
* Allocate and monitor team work to meet service goals and priorities.
* Ensure staffing meets service outcome requirements.
* Lead by example, offering guidance on best practices.
* Support team development through coaching, supervision, and budget-conscious training.
* Manage recruitment and induction of staff and volunteers.
* Maintain clear communication on organisational updates and service developments.
* Drive quality improvements and seek opportunities for innovation.
* Ensure all reporting and administrative tasks are completed accurately.
* Conduct tenant inductions, clarifying rights and responsibilities.
* Coordinate with agencies and oversee tenant support plans.
* Manage property issues, including damage recovery and repairs.
* Ensure compliance with management agreements and leases.
* Address anti-social behaviour and coordinate proactive responses.
* Conduct health and safety inspections and oversee property maintenance.
Essential skills and experience required:
* Housing qualification or relevant experience.
* Background in housing, social services, or supported housing.
* Knowledge of housing benefits, management, legislation, and letting procedures.
* Skilled in setting and evaluating support goals.
* Risk assessment and management experience.
* Understanding of housing law and best practices.
* Strong motivator with effective communication skills.
* Familiarity with mental health housing needs.
* Proficient in report writing and IT (Microsoft Office).
