The Quality & Safety Lead within the W&C Division is a key and pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of a safe and effective service. You must have current midwifery registration with the NMC, experience of working within Quality and Safety inclusive of patient safety, risk management and patient experience with effective time management skills and the ability to prioritise workload. Main duties of the job You will lead the governance and risk of maternity services, developing, embedding and promoting robust governance processes and a safety culture. It is essential that you are an experienced midwife with a comprehensive understanding of good governance and risk management. You must be able to present both written and verbal reports to a wide audience and have the ability to work with a range of other professionals both within and outside of our organisation. You will have good communication skills coupled with enthusiasm and innovation in your approach with the ability to engage others. You will work closely with the Director of Midwifery & Nursing, operational and corporate management teams including staff at all levels in achieving delivery of safe, high quality, effective care to all of those who use our services.
