We are seeking an experienced and driven Responsive Repairs Team Manager to join HMS. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to our customers, meeting contract performance targets, and promoting an efficient and professional work environment. In this dynamic role, you'll manage a team of approximately 20 operatives. With a focus on compliance and operational excellence, you'll ensure the highest standards in health and safety, financial control, and customer service, helping HMS maintain its reputation for quality and efficiency. * Lead and achieve contract performance targets, maintaining a high standard of customer service and ensuring commercial success
through continuous service enhancements.
* Evaluate workload, forecast requirements, and track team performance to set priorities and meet operational goals.
* Optimise resource management to plan and complete work within budget, deadlines, and quality standards, while exceeding
customer expectations.
* Oversee material stock levels and perform regular checks to ensure vehicles and equipment are properly managed and maintained.
* Identify and address high costs, inefficiencies, and poor performance, making necessary changes to operational procedures for
better results.
* Ensure adherence to contract administration processes by completing all required documentation accurately and on time.
* Monitor team performance and take proactive measures to meet contractual commitments.
* Work with the teams to control costs and oversee profitability.
* Supervise operatives to maintain quality standards and conduct inspections of completed work.
* Manage staff attendance, leave, and sick leave effectively.
* Handle employee relations issues in line with Torus policies and guidance.
* Support training and development needs of the workforce, including Lead Technician growth.
* Make well-informed decisions regarding work progress under adverse conditions, ensuring timely communication with customers.
* Plan and organise work to meet client contract conditions and remain adaptable to changing circumstances.
* Promote health and safety best practices throughout the workforce.
ONC / NVQ Level 3 in Construction related discipline.
* SMSTS/IOSH or similar Health and Safety Qualification.
* Full UK driver's license
