Business Development Team Leader

Contracted Hours: 40 hours per week (8 am-4.30pm or 8.30am-5pm)
About the Role
To build excellent relationships with people and managers across the business to drive growth and lead a team of sale professionals. The role requires a strong ability to identify opportunities and build relationships and lead the team in achieving sales and revenue targets and support with driving business expansion. This role reports to the Director of Business Development.
What does the role involve?
1. Working with the management teams and across the full BD team including Sales, Marketing and Recruitment to support positive outcomes for the BD function by supporting the department and leading the organisations sales team. Typical tasks will include leading, mentoring and coaching a team of sales professionals.
2. Helping to develop business growth strategies and support our expansion plans. Monitor performance of our team of sales professionals through sales reports and CRM tools.
3. Managing and building your own customer base through cold calling and warm calling.
4. Monitoring Market trends and building strong relationships with key stakeholders and partners.
5. Managing our Tele-Sales provision and Team of Business Development Consultants. You will also have your own sales target to work towards alongside the team target in line with our organisation targets.

3. Strong Administration skills – including Microsoft Office, excel, word and PowerPoint.
4. Ability to manage a varied programme of work, manage expectations and conflicting priorities.
5. Excellent customer service skills.
6. Ability to work to a deadline proactively.
7. Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
8. Complete mandatory and desirable training relevant to your role, as well as being prepared to undertake CPD Continuous Professional Development as appropriate.
9. Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
