We are looking for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Organic/Medicinal Chemistry

The Opportunity:
A postdoctoral position in drug development for pulmonary microdosing trials is funded by the EPSRC-backed MicroTex Hub, a multidisciplinary initiative combining robotics, AI, chemistry, physics, biology, and clinical medicine to rapidly test treatments for pulmonary inflammation and infection. Based at the Baillie Gifford Pandemic Science Hub, MicroTex unites scientists, clinicians, and researchers to accelerate drug discovery. The candidate will synthesize new and known drugs, develop formulations for microdosing, ensure bench-to-bedside translation, contribute to research strategy, and support commercialization and dissemination of findings.
Your skills and attributes for success:
Excellent organic chemistry skills, varied experience in the mg to g scale synthesis of small organic pharmacophore.
Experience in Solid Phase Peptide Synthesis and/or fluorescent labelling.
Extensive knowledge of analytical techniques relevant to organic synthesis, such as but not limited to: NMR, Mass Spectrometry, absorption and emission spectrophotometry, HPLC, LCMS.
Problem-solving and troubleshooting experience with standard chemistry equipment.
Direct experience in working in multidisciplinary teams.
