We're on the lookout for a Landscape Gardener to join our well-established client based in Oxford.
About the role:
To organise and lead landscape projects on site. To work as part of a team of six, providing excellent customer service in the delivery of the landscape service. This includes working in Oxford City Council's owned and managed properties, parks, urban spaces, and for private customers and schools.
Undertake a wide range of associated landscaping and horticultural activities, in keeping with good practice, and maintain equipment.
The business is based out of Cutteslowe Park.
About You:
* Formal horticultural qualification or significant skilled horticultural and landscape experience.
* Full valid UK driving licence.
* Able to undertake physically demanding work and work where chemicals have been used.
* Ability to work on own initiative, flexibility with start and finish times, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
* Experience in horticulture and grounds maintenance work, use of horticultural machinery, and able to undertake physically demanding work.
The details:
* Utilise knowledge, skills, and experience to provide a high standard of horticulture at all sites and maintain all types of horticultural equipment, including ride-on machinery.
* Undertake all duties in accordance with the Council standards, including Quality Assurance schemes, work instructions, manuals, health and safety requirements, and employment policies, ensuring fitness to work at all times and reporting promptly any issues that may compromise these standards.
* Participate and contribute to an ethos of teamwork and flexibility within the team and assist with the training and support of new and temporary/agency members of the team.
* Seek to continuously improve knowledge and standards and contribute to maximising commercial opportunities.
Working Hours:
Between 7:30am to 16:30 Monday to Friday (please note times may vary to earlier starts or later finishes as required).
Salary: £13.75 per hour.
