You’ll be joining a team who proudly sit at the forefront of packaging innovation, combining creativity with technical expertise to produce packaging that stands out on the shelf while meeting the highest industry standards. As a Packaging Technologist, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless delivery of own-brand packaging solutions, covering everything from fit-for-purpose design and quality to on-time and accurate packaging specifications. The Role: Managing the end-to-end packaging process for both New Product Development (NPD) and Existing Product Development (EPD), ensuring packaging meets brand and technical requirements. Collaborating with suppliers, internal teams, and clients to drive packaging solutions forward, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned. Acting as the key liaison between trading managers, suppliers, and packaging specialists to ensure smooth project delivery. Ensuring all packaging specifications are correct and quality standards are met through to launch. Troubleshooting and resolving any packaging quality issues efficiently, working closely with all relevant stakeholders. Keeping up to date with industry trends and innovations to drive continuous improvement in packaging solutions.The Person Previous experience in a packaging role, ideally within the FMCG sector. Strong technical knowledge of packaging materials, substrates, and production processes. Excellent project management skills – you’re highly organised and thrive on meeting deadlines. A confident communicator who can engage with stakeholders at all levels. A proactive problem solver who is adaptable and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
