New River Health based in Hertfordshire, is excited to have an opportunity for an efficient receptionist/administrator to join our busy practice on a full or part-time basis for 25-37.5 hours per week. We can be flexible on days worked so please apply to discuss. This role will work across both our sites, Castlegate and Church Street surgeries. The main responsibilities of the role include: Answering calls and making appointments. Dealing with patient queries face to face, via email and over the telephone. Managing the booking system, amending appointments and re-scheduling. Undertaking a variety of administrative duties to support clinical staff and other members of the practice team. Data entry and read coding of relevant patient information and medical data into the clinical system. Scanning patient information into computerised records, including medical documents, hospital records and letters, as necessary. Allocating workflow for review by doctors or other health professionals. Dealing with referrals to primary care. Processing practice post and emails. Applicants should have the following skills and experience: An experienced receptionist/administrator, with excellent IT, time management and organisational skills. Ability to communicate effectively, working in a confidential and discreet manner. Ability to multi-task, work efficiently and maintain a high level of attention to detail, when under pressure. Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, as well as independently. Primary care experience is desirable but not essential. About Us Castlegate and Church Street surgeries are family GP practices offering medical services, clinics, travel advice, immunisations, health checks, family planning and maternity care. Both practices joined together in April 2020 to form New River Health GP Partnership. The practices have been working together for some time offering a wide range of services across both sites. All of our GPs are committed to offering a professional service to individuals and families. With the support of the teams across both surgeries, we are able to offer a wide range of services including clinics for chronic disease care, childhood vaccinations, antenatal and postnatal care, travel advice/immunisations and adult health checks.
