£16.10 per hour Full Time - 35 hours per week - Monday Friday Office Based - central Brighton Temporary - initially until 31/03/2025 however can extend Tate are working with a local authority based in their search for Housing Officers on a temporary basis. You would be based in the Homelessness and Housing Options Team, with key responsibilities: Responsible for assessing housing need, and consider available solutions based on information provided by applicants and third parties Responsible for providing expert advice, information and guidance to housing applicants and other stakeholders on accommodation options Responsible for effectively checking a new applicant's eligibility against a criteria for entering the service, handling sensitive information responsibly, and communicating this effectively to clients and all relevant internal teams. Responsible for making initial decisions on all client's homelessness applications Responsible for providing advice and guidance to all customers who approach the housing options for their varying needs Accountable for scheduling and managing client appointments within your team, including any necessary stakeholders, and effectively communicating this both internally and externally. Maintaining records of customer contact, including any change of circumstances taking appropriate action in line with the assessment process and appropriate systems. Responsible for delivering effective customer service in a fast-paced environment as a front-facing member of staff, while maintaining effective communication both internally and externally. Accountable for maintaining effective and accurate databases with customer information, manage appointment systems, including communication with clients to be able to get specific information where necessary from them.Skills/experience: Housing experience Knowledge of homelessness legislation Ability to work in fast paced environment Analytical / problem solving skills IT / database management skills Please be aware this advert will remain open until the vacancy has been filled.
