This exciting opportunity is for a Band 6 Physiotherapist to work within our Therapy and Discharge Service team which covers all of the acute assessment areas aligned with our Emergency Care department at the William Harvey Hospital.
The team comprises of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Therapy Assistant Practitioners and Discharge Managers who are vital in the assessment and planning of therapy needs and discharge arrangements for patients admitted through our busy Accident and Emergency department.
We have a close working relationship with our colleagues at the Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother Hospital in Margate, and the TADS team are jointly managed alongside the Frailty Therapy Service.

To support the clinical delivery and leadership of therapy services in The Therapy and Discharge Team at the William Harvey Hospital.
• To manage daily a clinical specialist caseload within each of these rotations and be responsible for the assessment, formulation and treatments and to give highly specialised therapy advice to members of the MDT.
• To support the development of and maintain communication networks in order to provide a high quality and efficient service.
• To support and participate in the development of clinical standards and protocols, evidence-based practice, audit, research, clinical and non-clinical risk management in order to maintain the clinical governance of the service and Physiotherapy/Occupational Therapy delivery.
• Participation and involvement in the emergency respiratory on-call physiotherapy service (for physiotherapists) and 7 day working for both Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy.
