Working in one of our fantastic summer centres, as a Welfare & Accommodation Manager is a great opportunity to extend your management skills and hone your ability to work with students, within an exciting and varied role over the summer holidays. What does it involve? At Stafford House Study Holidays, we welcome over 6,000 students (ages 8-17) from overseas during the summer to help them improve their English. Students stay for 7-14 days, taking part in a rich academic, activities and excursions programme. Our students stay in our school residences, supported by our dedicated team of Student Welfare Team. Much like House Parents, our Student Welfare Team are on hand to support all pastoral and well-being needs, ensuring every student feels safe, comfortable, and supported throughout their time with us Our Welfare & Accommodation Manager supports the Student Welfare Team. Supported themselves by the Student Welfare Manager, Centre Director and a well-established head office team. Locations: Bournemouth, Canterbury, Cambridge, Central London, Northampton, and Oakham (notable for the Michael Owen Red Stars football school). Contracts: Select a contract of 4-6 weeks, from 19th June to 10th August 2025 (25th August in Central London). You must be available in July, as this is our busy period. Since you will be providing wrap-around care for our students, it is necessary be residential for the duration of the contract. Good news You don t need to be local to our school locations to apply Hours: 60 hours per week over 6 days. This is a fully immersive management role. Management: You will write weekly rotas, liaise with group leaders and the welfare team, leading meetings and help manage the overall pastoral needs for your centre Safeguarding is a big part of the job, and we take it seriously. If successful we will conduct full pre-employment checks including an Enhanced DBS check, in line with our safer recruitment policy and Keeping Children Safe in Education 2024. You will act as Designated Safeguarding Leader and managing all Health & Safety aspects of the programme Administration. You ll allocate accommodation, manage transfers and the supervision rota. Ensure that general housekeeping duties are met, while liaising with Group Leaders to provide a safe, fun, and smooth-running stay with Stafford House. Great Organisation. You will coordinate airport transfers, manage catering needs for students Being Supportive. You ll support your Student Welfare Team. Additionally, providing pastoral support to ensure their holistic well-being and welfare. Be a great Communicator with a good level of spoken and written English. Energetic. Working 60 hours per week over a 6-day week. This is a fully immersive working experience.
