Main duties of the job The post holder will manage clinics providing treatment and follow-up care to breast patients. They will actively participate in all aspects of clinical governance, making a significant contribution to multidisciplinary audits and risk management activities. The post holder will also contribute all required data to the audit programme and provide substantial support for NHSLA assessments. Additionally, the post holder will assist the Directorate Manager and Clinical Director in fulfilling the governance clinical lead role for the service, with a focus on patient safety and human factors training. Administrative Responsibilities: The post holder will undertake administrative duties related to the care of patients and the day-to-day operations of the department. They will also be responsible for general administrative tasks, ensuring compliance with Directorate and Trust objectives. Research Responsibilities: The Trust values and encourages research as a key aspect of its service delivery. The emphasis will be on studies that align with the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) portfolio. Teaching Responsibilities: The post holder will participate in the teaching of undergraduate medical students, particularly in the investigation and management of breast patients, be involved in the clinical supervision of junior medical staff and the teaching and training of other healthcare professionals.
