Buyer - Electronics Manufacturing
Based in West Sussex / Hybrid

Monday – Friday | 8.15am to 5pm with a 12:45pm finish on Friday's
Do you have experience in buying/purchasing electronic or electro-mechanical parts?
We are currently recruiting a Buyer to join the team.
The successful Buyer will be responsible for timely order placement, regular supply of raw materials, and supporting with maintaining production.
This position will involve managing supplier relationships and inventory levels to prevent shortages and maximise turns.
You will work with Engineering, Planning, Sales, and Manufacturing departments and report directly to the Supply Chain Manager.
Duties will include:
* Prepare weekly reports to share with supply chain partners and entering data into company ERP system
* Prepare document packs (electronic) for custom part orders
* Control inventories and ensure timely flow of materials
* Bring ideas to management and look for process improvements.
* Be flexible with hours to meet all project deadlines and travel when necessary.
Ideal Candidate:
* Previous experience in purchasing electronic or electro-mechanical parts is essential for this role
* Strong IT skills and a good working knowledge of MS Office
* A 'starter/finisher' who perseveres in accomplishing tasks or objectives
* Strong communication skills both verbally and in written format in both positive and negative situations
* Active listener, who asks questions for clarification
* Excellent problem-solver who is able to work well in group problem solving situations
