Fern House Surgery in Witham, are seeking an experienced advanced nurse practitioner/nurse prescriber to join their busy practice on a full-time basis. You will become a part of a forward-thinking practice which has significantly evolved during these times of change to enable us to provide excellent patient care, whilst protecting and supporting our valued team. The main responsibilities of the role include: Deliver a high standard of patient care, using advanced autonomous clinical skills, and a broad and in-depth theoretical knowledge base. Assess, diagnose and treat patients’ conditions, initiating direct referrals as appropriate. Provide expert advice to patients, carers and colleagues. Promote health and well-being through the use of health promotion, health education, screening and therapeutic communication skills. As an independent prescriber: prescribe safe, effective and appropriate medication as defined by current legislative framework. As a vital part of our multidisciplinary team, you will have the opportunity to support and care for a diverse patient group. This strategic role will also provide the opportunity for you to develop innovative concepts, models, methods and practices to help deliver improved primary care to our practice population. About the Candidate All applicants should have the following qualifications, registrations, skills and experience: Registered Nurse (NMC). Prescribing qualification. Experience of working within a primary care environment. Knowledge of SystmOne. Experience in diagnosing and treating patients who present with acute medical and minor illnesses. Relevant expertise in managing long term conditions.
