Teacher Location: Tokers Green, Reading Salary: £30,000 - £46,525 p.a. (M1- UPS3) Contract: Full time permanent position Teaching Personnel have an exciting opportunity to work with a large SEN school based in Reading. The school has pupils ages 5-16 years old. They are looking for a teacher to join the expanding team and work alongside the Senior Leadership Team to aid the smooth running of the school. Job Summary Be responsible for the quality of teaching and learning of all pupils who are assigned to the post holder, having responsibility for their progress, welfare and outcomes. Supervise the work of any support staff, who are assigned to work with the post holder’s pupils. Provide leadership across the school in a curriculum area, this to include: monitoring quality and standards contributing to school planning and self-evaluation providing professional support to other teachers and support staff Advising the Head of Education on appropriate resources and materials Work to the schools’ values and ensure that values are embedded in everyday practice Knowledge and Qualifications: PGCE, QTS or equivalent teaching qualification and evidence of in-service training Working knowledge of special education needs including relevant curriculum and learning plans. Skills: Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Ability to coach and mentor LSAs, Teaching Assistants etc. Ability to adapt teaching and communication skills, both written and verbal according to audience.
