A Major Tier 1 Supplier in the Automotive sector is looking for two Facilities Engineers to join the team at their impressive site in the Telford area.
You will be a flexible and versatile Engineer with a background in facilities maintenance in a manufacturing environment. Operating in a fast-paced Tier 1 environment, you will be able to demonstrate a strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience in maintaining and troubleshooting systems.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage and maintain various facility systems, including lighting, compressors, cooling towers, fire alarms, plumbing, and ventilation.
2. Conduct regular inspections to ensure all equipment and systems are functioning correctly.
3. Troubleshoot and repair any issues to minimize downtime and prevent disruptions to production.
4. Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to mitigate potential equipment failures.
5. Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to plan and execute equipment upgrades or modifications.
6. Oversee site security measures to ensure the safety of personnel, equipment, and facilities.
7. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, proactively identifying and mitigating risks.
8. Maintain detailed records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
9. Coordinate with external vendors for equipment servicing and repairs as needed.
10. Stay updated on technological advancements in facilities management and implement innovative solutions where applicable.
Key Requirements:
1. Minimum 3 years of experience as a Facilities Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
2. Strong technical expertise and hands-on experience in system maintenance and troubleshooting.
3. Previous leadership experience managing a team (e.g., contractors).
4. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills with a structured approach to resolving issues.
6. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting.
7. Effective communication and teamwork skills.
8. Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
9. Familiarity with ISO 14001 standards.
10. Certifications in relevant fields such as HVAC, electrical systems, or fire safety are an advantage.
