Job Description
SportsEngine is currently seeking a bright, motivated professional to join our fast-paced, high growth and passionate sales team as a Business Development Representative (BDR). Our BDR sets the pace for our sales team, is responsible for the first impression to youth sport administrators, executes a high-volume, high-quality sales strategy, that results in handing off qualified prospects to the Sales Rep teams. Responsibilities
* Develop a well-rounded understanding of our sales philosophy, market and customer needs to execute customer interactions daily.
* Create interest with customers directly via telephone and email learning about their challenges, position our products as solutions, and create new selling opportunities.
* Proactively develop and grow our prospect pipeline through phone, email, social media, and networking events to generate interest in our products and services.
* Follow through on all commitments to customers ensuring a successful internal transition throughout the customer engagement process.
* Meet and/or exceed department metrics and goals via execution of a strategic, efficient and high touch activity schedule via phone, email and social media.
* Build relationships with Sales Representatives to develop territory strategy and execution plan.
* Collaborate with the entire sales team to support assigned territory and facilitate the overall success of the team.
* Maintain accurate daily record of sales activity using Salesforce.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
At least 1 year of experience in a business development/ lead generation/ sales or account management role and the ability to demonstrate proven skills and a professional approach which includes the following;
* A strong and positive customer service approach along with excellent written and verbal communications skills.
* Ability to achieve & exceed company targets and experience of sourcing own leads to conversions.
* A passion for sales, learning, and growth.
* Experience in using Salesforce or similar CRM.
* Multi-tasking abilities with consistent and timely follow-through.
* Ability to exercise independent judgment and a strong work ethic to effectively manage your time to drive sales leads within your territory.
Candidates must also be able to demonstrate:
* A strong and positive customer service approach along with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Great organisational skills.
* Good negotiating skills.
* Persistence and resilience.
Additional desirable skills & experience
* Education to degree level in a relevant discipline (e.g. Business/ Marketing/ IT).
* Sales experience within an E-Commerce/ sports tech environment.
* Familiarity of or experience within the UK market relating to sports.
