Job Description
Overall purpose of the job:
Provide vital support to the business to ensure the efficient administration and coordination of all vetting across the Group. This includes working with the business on annual training, audits and processes for security controls.
Key responsibilities for this job:
1. Administration and processing of national security vetting applications and transfers
2. Managing the vetting application process, this includes liaising with 3rd party vetting providers
3. Maintain and update vetting records and databases in line with the organisations data protection policies
4. Liaise with applicants and provide guidance on the vetting process.
5. Act as a key contact for our stakeholders, reporting updates, progress on active cases, and managing expectations, to enable the business to resource customer needs
6. Responsible for the aftercare process, ensuring compliance with current regulation and guidance
7. Together with the Learning & Development team and the Security Controller ensuring regular training is produced, rolled out and monitored to ensure completion across the business
8. Work with various business units on process documentation together with assisting in conducting of security and data audits
9. Produce management reports for the board of directors
10. Assist the team in identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance the service we deliver
Knowledge and experience required:
11. Previous experience within a process focused and high-volume administrative role
12. Previous experience processing security clearances
13. Able to handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion
14. Knowledge of the various Security Clearance levels and requirements and able to use this knowledge to know when to escalate
15. The ability to priorities workloads within a high pressure, autonomous environment
16. Excellent attention to detail
