Job summary Due to promotion in the service, we have an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and dedicated clinical nurse join the haematology team at The Christie Hospital. We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Haematology Nurse to join our CNS team. We require the post holder to have experience within a Haematology setting. The role will involve providing advice, care and support to patients and families who attend our outpatient, Ambulatory and Palatine Treatment Centre. You will co-ordinate patient care and act as a key worker for your own patient case load. Working hours are Monday -Friday and cross cover within the Haematology CNS team is a requirement for this post. The CNS post holder will work within the busy and dynamic team providing exceptional care, supporting both the inpatient and outpatient setting. The applicant should have a wide range of haematology experience to be able to support the wide haematology service across all disease groups. Main duties of the job To provide a comprehensive service for patients with acute and chronic malignant haematological disorders. You will provide expert care, advice and support to patients receiving treatment on in-patient and out-patient basis and to their families and as a resource to other staff. This roles includes clinical duties and supporting the needs of the patients and their families.
