Quality Team Leader Alpha Manufacturing, a member of The HEX Group, is a privately-owned business fabricating sheet metal in the UK. Alpha designs and produces both sheet metal work components and assemblies. Established in 1989, the company now employs over 180 people. Utilising industry leading technology, Alpha Manufacturing have facilities to design, prototype and manufacture a diverse range of products all in their purpose-built sheet metal fabrication factory in the heart of Staffordshire. Having experienced significant growth and success over the last few years, we are looking to strengthen our team with the recruitment of a Quality Team Leader. Role responsibilities: Co-ordinate all day-to-day activities of the team. Supervise all team activities, including: Training team members as required, ensuring flexibility. Assessing team members against skills matrix, and developing them where necessary. Manage team performance to meet delivery requirements. Induction of new team members. Communicating business and team issues, including quality issues and performance, on a regular basis. Carry out all T&A procedures, in liaison with HR and Production Manager including Return to work interviews and Bradford factor monitoring. Managing all Health and Safety issues throughout the area. Ensure working hours are communicated to team members at the required frequency. Review inspection methods and frequency for efficiency and required output. Recommend improvements to Quality Manager. Liaise with other team leaders on a day-to-day basis to ensure continuity of materials and component parts rejected between areas, customers and suppliers. Highlight any existing or forecasted problems to the Quality Manager. Ensure quality investigations are robustly carried out and documented, in line with 8D process and/or customer requirements. Ensure all team members understand and comply with all quality processes and procedures. Ensure all Team Members carry out activities in line with any current SOP’s. Provide regular reports to the Quality Manager on team performance against specified targets. Aid and support all Quality Team Members. Develop their knowledge and understanding of customer requirements. Communicating Quality issues. Ensure team adherence to Quality Standards. Aid and support all Quality Team. Develop their knowledge and understanding of customer requirements. Ensure best practice techniques are being employed, such as 5S, SMED, Process flows, SOP’s. Support the implementation and maintenance of Quality processes and procedures. Ensuring that minimum requirements are kept.
