As a Lead IQA, you will play a key role in ensuring high standards of teaching, learning, and assessment across the curriculum, helping learners gain Functional Skills, Personal & Social Development, and work-based qualifications. Key Responsibilities: · Support the Education Principal in effectively managing the curriculum to ensure learner and employer needs are met. · Lead on quality assurance and improvement, implementing strategies to raise standards and drive continuous development. · Monitor and support teaching staff, helping them enhance their teaching methods and meet performance targets. · Encourage an innovative and problem-solving approach among tutors to improve learner engagement and outcomes. · Ensure compliance with quality systems and processes, supporting curriculum development and continuous improvement initiatives. Essential/Desirable Criteria: Essential: · Degree or equivalent qualification. · Teaching qualification (QTLS or equivalent, as appropriate) / Assessor/Verifier Award (e.g CAVA/TAQA/IQA Award) · Experience leading the coaching of teachers to develop their own teaching practice. · Knowledge of current relevant educational research and standards. · Ability to cultivate an aspirational culture in which education managers, teaching staff, and learners can thrive. · Strong motivation to lead the achievement of success. · Ability to plan, communicate, and problem-solve effectively. · Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. · Strong influencing skills and the ability to lead and support, working effectively within a team. · Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. · Experience providing support/training for teachers to deliver high-quality, effective learning experiences. · A track record in the management of quality improvement, with evidence of raising standards. · Ability to drive for travel around regions to share best practices. Desirable: · Experience in preparation for and during an Ofsted Inspection. · Experience in Neurodiversity and Reading specialist work. · Experience working in a custodial or community setting. · Innovative teaching methods.
