About the service This is a Waking Night Support role within our Blantyre Short Breaks Service, offering short holidays for seven individuals with communication support needs, physical disabilities, and learning disabilities. In this role, you ll provide essential, tailored support as part of a dedicated night team, ensuring each individual receives the care they need according to their support plans and risk assessments. Key Responsibilities: Perform regular keeping safe checks to ensure individuals are comfortable and safe. Maintain a clean and sanitary environment. Support individuals with morning and night-time routines. Keep accurate records using IT systems, including updates to support plans, incident logs, and health and safety records. Create a calm, therapeutic environment to enhance the well-being of those we support. Assist with daily living needs, including personal care, meal preparation, feeding, and medication administration. Shift Details: Shifts are 9:45 PM - 7:45 AM on a rolling rota, designed to support work-life balance. This role is for a 20-hour Support Practitioner, working approximately eight ten-hour shifts over a four-week period. Training and Support: We provide full training, induction, and work-shadowing to set you up for success. You ll be joining a friendly, welcoming team, ready to support you in making a difference.
