Working closely with colleagues from within the local authority and external partners alike, the team is responsible for ensuring that the Council provides appropriate support to schools to ensure that their buildings and estate are effectively managed and that the Council is able to satisfactorily ensure that it fulfils its statutory obligation of ensuring that there are sufficient school places for all those that need them. About You The successful applicant will be expected to demonstrate the following: Proven experience of working on major capital projects; Proven experience of working positively and creatively with other partner bodies and organisations to deliver successful outcomes; A knowledge and ability to undertake basic financial management; A practical understanding of relevant and current statutory guidance and regulations in respect of school organisation, building and design matters; The ability to work effectively within a small team; Competency in using traditional office software, including excel and word; The ability to undertake and adapt to a diverse range of project subjects in so far as they relate to the delivery of services for the Children s Services Department and across the wider Council About Us This is your opportunity to join us at an exciting time as we have strong ambitions for the borough.
