Technical Manager Location: Burton-Upon-Trent Salary: £60,000 per annum Bonus Package Job Type: Full-time As a Technical Manager, you will play a pivotal role in our Product Integrity function, overseeing all technical aspects of warehouse operations to maintain product integrity and safety. Reporting directly to the Head of Quality, you will be responsible for developing and implementing systems and procedures that align with the Global Standard for Warehouse & Distribution. Day-to-day of the role: Lead and manage a team responsible for monitoring the quality and integrity of our products. Manage and maintain the HACCP, QMS, Internal Audit, and Technical training systems at the Distribution Centre, ensuring they align with industry standards. Support our warehouse and distribution locations globally to achieve our Global Standard and maintain an industry-leading position. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards governing chilled and ambient warehouse operations. Create and maintain strong relationships with primary and local authorities and accreditation bodies. Undertake annual reviews of systems, processes, procedures, and HACCP. Generate KPI reports to support due diligence and governance of systems at the Distribution Centre. Manage and track continuous improvement plans in conjunction with the Planning Manager. Identify opportunities to drive continuous improvement across warehouse and distribution locations. Provide training and development opportunities for technical staff and support the Training Manager in training operations staff in food safety and product integrity. Stay abreast of evolving regulatory trends and guidelines to ensure proactive compliance. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline, pharmacy, or a related field. Minimum 5 years' experience within Technical and/or warehouse and distribution operations. Experience and knowledge of regulatory and accreditation requirements related to chilled and ambient products and warehouse operations. Demonstrable leadership and team management skills. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Effective communicator, both verbally and in writing, across all levels of the organisation. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal stakeholders and regulatory authorities. Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
