Full time Band 6 Occupational Therapist Thurrock Integrated Community Team (ICT)
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join an innovative and dynamic community service. We are looking for an experienced and motivated Occupational Therapist who is passionate about service development and providing high standards of patient centred care. You will be working closely with a friendly team of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and rehabilitation assistants who are committed to maintaining independence, promoting self-care, and assisting patients to achieve their goals. We support a wide variety of patients including neurological, orthopaedics, falls, long term conditions, Frailty, and musculoskeletal issues allowing staff to get broad experience across different specialities.
The successful candidate will be hardworking, reliable, and able to use their initiative and work flexibly to respond to the service needs.
You will be part of a friendly and approachable team who work well together and will be well supported by your management team.
Main duties of the job
Thurrock Integrated Community Team (ICT) provides therapy assessment and intervention in the patient's own home and teams onsite gym to promote safety and independence.
1. Provide specialist holistic assessments and OT interventions
2. Provide expert advice in clinical recommendations to both OT and MDT relating to the holistic provision of OT.
3. Supporting junior staff
4. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

About us
Starting with NELFT, NELFT places a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training, and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process, new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers, and attend a number of drop-in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing, and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.
This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently partway through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).
This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 5% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £1,258 to a maximum of £2,122).
