The on target earning potential for this role is £33,791 / per annum - comprising a base salary of £25,491, plus a qualified estimate of £8,300 in gratuities and service charge. Here's a bit more detail on what we see you doing in this role: Overseeing The Birnam daily operation, ensuring our service consistently exceeds guests’ expectations You’ll be passionate about sharing your knowledge with your team, coaching on the job, increasing their skills, knowledge and confidence Proficiently upselling and encouraging your team to do the same at every opportunity You’ll have an exceptional knowledge of the menu and ability to assist guests with their choice of food providing recommendations on beverages to complement their dishes Developing and training the team in the standards required for achieving excellent results in FORBES, LQA inspections and Club 59 You’ll have an excellent knowledge of our estate and the fantastic offering available to our guests Completing daily opening or closing procedures including; end of night cash up when required, assisting in completion of the daily handover Managing guest feedback, communicating this with remedial recommendations to the management team Checking daily bookings and highlighting any VIP guests Working a range of shifts including breakfast, lunch and dinner; adapting to each service to ensure guests expectations are exceeded You’ll ensure business levels are monitored and adjust rotas accordingly on the day due to business levels Overseeing daily briefings and ensuring staff are allocated accordingly to stations throughout the day Promoting The Birnam as a warm, friendly relaxed place to dine for all including young children, non-residents and Glenmor guests You’ll recognise regular members and guests, making them feel warm and welcome each time they return Building strong working relationships with our Culinary team You’ll have awareness of cost control, along with basic knowledge of profit and loss and ensure procedures are adhered too Proactively liaising with the host team; ensuring table plans are in place and awareness of group bookings or special requests Having a good knowledge of 14 food allergens by law and ensuring the team follow strict procedures regarding food allergies Anticipating any difficulties that may occur and rectifying them promptly, remaining controlled in pressured situations to find a solution Interacting with guests always in a warm and professional manner.
