About the Role:
The Procurement Assistant will support the Procurement Manager in coordinating subcontractor orders, managing supplier relationships, and assisting with general administrative tasks. You will play a key role in maintaining procurement schedules, tracking contracts, and ensuring that project requirements are met during the pre-construction phase. This role offers an excellent opportunity to progress into a Quantity Surveyor position, providing a clear career path within the company.
Role Responsibilities:
1. Collaborating with subcontractors, suppliers, clients, and site teams during the pre-construction phase.
2. Assisting the Procurement Manager in preparing subcontractor orders and tracking signed contracts.
3. Updating procurement schedules in line with project timelines and budgets.
4. Organizing tender packages, collating quotations, and submitting cost comparisons for review.
5. Leading pre-construction meetings and documenting meeting minutes.
6. Providing project-by-project cost analysis to the estimating and commercial teams.
7. Handling enquiries and liaising with site staff to ensure smooth project execution.
8. Supporting the team with general administrative duties and filing contract documents.
