The Senior Analyst / Associate role will sit within the European Investments team, supporting acquisition, asset management, and investment management efforts. Due to the relatively small size of the team, the Senior Analyst / Associate is expected to be capable of autonomously modelling investment opportunities and preparing Investment Committee materials. The Senior Analyst / Associate will be involved with the development, structuring and financing of transactions and regularly attend both internal and external meetings, negotiations, and due diligence sessions.
Required Experience:
* Bachelor’s degree in real estate (or a built environment degree under a different title), Finance, Accounting, or related discipline - or an equivalent combination of education and experience
* Qualifications: MRICS, IMC, CFA desirable but not mandatory
* Minimum of 2 years’ experience in real estate investment, investment banking or related disciplines, ideally with a pan-European focus
* Proficient in all Microsoft Office products, with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
* Strong financial modelling, analytical and presentation skills (will be tested during the recruitment process)
Responsibilities:
* Build and maintain detailed financial models utilizing Excel for acquisition and development projects that incorporate various scenarios and sensitivity analyses
* Manage all asset and portfolio level financial models during the ownership period
* Assist with the communication of project and portfolio updates to internal and external stakeholders
* Perform market analysis and feasibility studies
* Manage due diligence, including the analysis and review of market data, financial statements, development budgets, third party reports, and legal documentation
Personal Attributes:
* Strong analytical / quantitative skills with superior attention to detail
* A second European language (French, Dutch, German) is strongly preferred
* A highly proactive and self-motivated individual
* Ability to prioritize and manage multiple competing tasks
* Collaborative, team-oriented individual with strong sense of integrity and professionalism
