As an Electrical Test Operations Engineer, you will be responsible for performing avionic test operations on spacecraft and payloads, focusing on Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) validation, integration, and global validation tests. This role involves working in clean room environments across various locations, including the UK, Germany, and Spain, to ensure the successful integration and testing of electrical systems.
Responsibilities
Configure and validate Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) according to Airbus Defence & Space procedures to ensure safety before connecting to spacecraft or payloads.
Validate and verify all test aids and harnesses prior to use in testing operations.
Execute electrical integration of spacecraft or payload equipment, ensuring proper signal positioning in harnesses and verifying equipment health through telemetry analysis.
Conduct global spacecraft or payload tests (e.g., AOCS, DHS, POWER) under various conditions, including clean room validations and environmental tests (vacuum, EMC, vibration).
Finalise spacecraft configuration during launch campaigns and perform electrical analyses using tools such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes.
Report anomalies and procedure errors using ADS tools, including redlining procedures as necessary.
Maintain traceability documentation and generate reports upon completion of activities, including lessons learned and improvement proposals.
Required Experience
Previous experience in electrical test operations or integration within the aerospace industry, particularly with spacecraft or payloads.
Mandatory certifications: C3, C15, Pyro, and B2V, along with safety training for working at heights and in controlled environments.
Familiarity with clean room operations and the specific requirements for working in such environments.
Experience in documenting procedures, generating reports, and maintaining traceability in test operations.
Required Skills
Proficient in the configuration and validation of Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) and test aids.
Strong knowledge of electrical integration processes and testing procedures within the aerospace industry.
Familiarity with software tools such as Elisa, TCL, Python, SQL, MATLAB, and VBA.
Experience with applications like PREX, PRED, SAP, and Microsoft Office.
Competence in using operating systems such as Open Center, Unix, and Windows.
Knowledge of high-frequency signal measurement and electrical power systems.
