My client, a small privately owned developer, is looking to appoint a Site Manager/Project Lead for 2 new housing schemes in Essex and East London. The schemes consist of high-end & HA traditional build homes.
This would be an ideal role for a SM looking to move away from a PLC or an experienced ASM, No2 who has looked after their own phases to take on a new challenge, working for a privately run developer.
Duties:
1. Reporting in to the owners.
2. Providing clear direction to the on-site construction team regarding responsibilities and targets.
3. Managing the day to day operation from foundation to completion, including material lead times.
4. Ensuring the development is completed in accordance with specification and the build programme.
5. Providing accurate and regular reports on progress and dates.
6. Controlling additional costs for non-productive costs and prelim expenditure.
7. Driving through quality at every stage of the construction process.
8. Ensuring the development passes internal and external inspection processes.
9. Ensuring all aspects of Health and Safety are followed and adhered to.
10. Taking responsibility for self-development and the development of others.
11. Monitoring and controlling the quality of production and approving stage completions for payments to subcontractors.
12. Ensuring any remedial work is completed prior to occupation.
13. Ensuring customer service remains of the highest priority at all times with everyone on site.
Qualifications:
1. Experience of working on traditional build schemes.
2. Experience of being either a SM, No2 or Experienced ASM.
3. Working as part of a full production team.
4. CSCS, First Aid, Scaffold awareness.
