With our ongoing success in business growth, we are expanding our Electrical team and have a new opportunity for an Electrical Engineer to join us to develop a wide range of clean technologies and renewable projects. The successful candidate will support work assignments covering all technical analysis and project development deliverables for our customers in both public and private sectors. This involves project outline design and scope of work development, coordination with stakeholders, liaising with technical specialists and sub-contractors, tender writing, and presentation.
The ideal candidate must have a good level of technical expertise, possess strong development skills, have a sound track record in developing successful energy and renewable projects, and be willing to travel nationwide as required.

Role and Scope:
The Electrical Engineer is responsible for working on assignments covering all aspects of industrial and commercial energy usage, energy savings, utility plant redevelopment, and CO2 emission reduction. The Engineer will formulate, evaluate, and prepare designs and specifications of industrial and commercial schemes during feasibility studies, scheme detailed design, and project implementation.
The Engineer will be expected to work in areas covering:
1. CHP
2. Refrigeration
3. Air Source and Ground Source Heat Pumps
4. HVAC
5. Boilers
6. Compressed Air
7. Solar PV
8. Wind Generation
9. Industrial Control Schemes
The Engineer will have a good level of technical expertise with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience in the specification, design, and implementation of Commercial and Industrial Power systems with a good understanding of BS7671 18th Edition regulations relating to the design of electrical systems. Experience in the specification, design, and implementation of Solar PV systems and Battery storage including a working experience or PVsyst, PVSol, Solaredge Designer or similar solar PV sizing and designing tools would be an advantage but not essential as training will be available in these areas.
Specific Duties
The Engineer will be responsible for specific duties as follows:
1. Feasibility studies:
1. Assessment of existing system configuration and operation at client sites including HH consumption data, supply capacity provision, scope for increased supply capacity, etc.
2. Assessment of the upgrades required to accommodate proposed solution
3. Space, layout cable routing constraints
4. Scope of works to obtain targeting costs
5. Out-line design with costed solution
6. Technical write-up to support High Level Assessment (HLA) and Investment Grade Proposals (IGP)
2. Scheme Design (Front End Design)
1. Further definition of conceptual design from feasibility stage including on-site assessments as necessary
2. Finalise scheme selection
3. DNO Supply Applications
4. Development of Single Line Diagrams, Plant room layouts, cable routing drawings, etc.
5. Load assessments
6. Cable sizing
7. Fault level analysis
8. Protection grading
9. Equipment specifications and scopes of work
3. Technical Support throughout Procurement and Construction process for projects including:
1. Provide technical support to the project implementation team throughout the implementation period
2. Technical scope of works for sub-contractors
3. Interface with suppliers
4. Technical queries
5. Approval of design changes
6. Resolution of issues
7. Site visits to ensure compliance with scope, specification, build quality, etc
8. Attend HAZOP and technical review meetings as required
General Duties
To update the company work monitoring systems with accurate details. Assist in improving operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work co-operatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service.
