About the role

Located in the sustainability team, you will support the Deputy Pro-Vice-Chancellor Sustainability in the delivery of key projects and programmes which contribute towards key themes of the Leadership in Sustainability Strategy including Academic Innovation and Impact and Engagement and Partnerships.
The main responsibilities of the Sustainability Project Officer will include:
1. act as the main point of contact for the Academic Innovation and Impact section of the Leadership in Sustainability Strategy, providing advice, guidance and coordination as required and liaising with a range of university stakeholders and groups to progress the agenda.
2. lead a range of projects related to Education for Sustainable Development and enhancing sustainability research impact and reputation.
3. collate, analyse and manage a range of data and information to support informed practice and contribute to key publications and reports, accreditations and ranking submissions, and measure and report against related Key Performance Indicators.
4. plan and deliver projects that increase awareness and understanding of sustainability and contribute to the delivery of effective sustainability communications.
The role is a two year fixed-term role and offers hybrid working options.
About the candidate:
You will be a passionate and driven professional with a career and/or educational background in sustainability, with a focus on sustainability academic innovation and impact within the Higher Education sector. You will have experience in managing and delivering a varied workload, delivering projects from inception to completion, possess strong communication and interpersonal skills to develop effective partnerships, and experience of liaising with senior colleagues and groups to inform decision-making and good practice at the University.
