Hays Senior Finance are working exclusively with a small, multi-faceted organisation based in the Stourbridge area as they look to recruit a new Management Accountant on a permanent basis.
Your new role
In this varied and hands-on role, you will be responsible for supporting across a number of areas from overseeing transactional activities up to preparing accurate and timely management accounts.
Key duties:
1. Oversee control of and assist with purchase ledger, sales ledger and cash management
2. Month-end P&L and balance sheet reconciliations
3. Budget and forecast preparation
4. Control account reconciliations from multiple business/income streams
5. Maintenance of the Fixed Asset Register
6. Preparation of VAT/statutory returns and payments
7. Payroll administration and P11ds
8. Monthly intercompany recharges
What you'll need to succeed
1. AAT qualified or QBE
2. SME background with proven management accounts experience
3. Comfortable being hands-on and willing to help out in all areas of finance
4. Able to work well individually as well as part of a team
5. Fully conversant with the operation of financial IT systems and accounting software (Sage in particular)
