Job Duties:
The PPA Cover Teacher will be responsible for delivering planned lessons for absent teachers, ensuring the continuity of learning for students with special educatioal needs such as PMLD, ASD. This includes following the school's curriculum, providing necessary support to students, and maintaining a positive learning environment. Some children may require manual handling or personal care.
Required Qualifications:
The ideal candidate must hold qualifications in SEN, Teaching, PGCE, and QTS to be considered for this role.
Education:
A degree in Education or related field is required, along with the specifie SEN qualifications.
Experience:
Prior experience working in a similar role, particularly with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, is preferred.
Knowledge and Skills:
The candidate should have a strong understanding of personal care practises and experience in supporting students with SEND. Excellent communication and classroom management skills are essential.
Preferred Qualifications:
Additional certifications in relevant areas of education or special education are desirable.
Working Conditions:
This role involves working part time following the school's academic calendar. The teacher will be based in Sutton, Greater London, and will collaborate with other faculty members to ensure the smooth running of the school day.
