Responsibilities
As the Requirements Manager you will be responsible taking Capability Requirements and developing them into User Requirements and maintaining alignment and coherence of the Systems Requirements within the programme. You shall be the custodian of the “Golden Thread”: the unbroken, top-down linkage of requirements from Defence policy to DLoD outputs, that provides the direction for investment plans and ensures that the capabilities generated are coherent and consistent with MOD’s strategic investment. This role will include:
* Be responsible for the process of documenting, analysing, tracing, prioritising and agreeing on requirements and then controlling change and communicating with the relevant stakeholders throughout the project life (including system, support, safety, and cyber security requirements)
* Analyse requirements for adherence to the authorities objectives and for consistency, challenging positively as appropriate
* Understanding of how to interpret Use Cases
* Facilitate scoping and priority-setting for change initiatives of large size and complexity
* Select appropriate techniques for the elicitation of detailed requirements
* Drive the requirements elicitation process where necessary, identifying what stakeholder input is required
* Take responsibility for the investigation and application of changes to programme scope
* Assess, analyse, develop, document and implement changes based on requests for change
* Facilitate scoping and business priority setting for large or complex cha
* Take responsibility for the investigation and application of changes to programme scope
* Identify the impact on business requirements of external impacts affecting a programme or project
Skills, Qualifications and Experience
The successful candidate will have the following skills, qualifications, and experience:
* Experienced requirements manager (preferably in the land domain) within Defence
* Experience using DOORS
* An understanding of what is required to sustain a capability throughout its life (including support solutions, safety and environmental management etc).
* SC/DV Clearance
Desirable / Preferred:
* Military background or similar MOD experience
* Incorporated / chartered engineering status
