Our client, who is award-winning in their specialist industry, is looking to grow the team and seeking an energetic, driven, and detail-oriented Administration Assistant to join the close-knit team. Working alongside the Administration Manager, this role is to ensure the seamless operation of the business. Whether you are processing data or supporting day-to-day activities of the team, this role will be varied in nature and will be working with all teams in the business. Full training will be given.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Keep accreditations up to date with industry-leading bodies within the construction industry by completing the required administration.
2. Manage Carbon Quota software and track the business carbon footprint to help improve sustainability.
3. Act as point of contact for suppliers, organise onboarding by administrating supplier information requests, and sourcing quotes from materials suppliers.
4. Provide general finance administration support using Xero accounting software to ensure smooth financial operations.
5. Conduct stock checks in the business and order materials for upcoming jobs.
6. Manage the vehicle fleet to keep everything running smoothly and compliant.
7. Handle general safety and compliance administration to maintain and update tools, equipment, and staff certifications to ensure best practice.
8. Build and maintain accurate databases of subcontractors, suppliers, and key contacts to stay organised and efficient.
Skills and Personality:
1. Driving license is essential.
2. A very confident computer user, enjoys researching information, and can find key info with ease and efficiency, and is able to learn in-house systems.
3. Reliable, proactive, and eager to take on challenges head-first.
4. A true team player, with a positive, approachable attitude that people will warm to, both for internal teams, suppliers, customers, and contractors.
5. Independent, driven, and self-managing, and will use initiative.
6. Comfortable communicating professionally both on the phone and in writing.
7. Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel (essential).
Salary & Reward:
1. £25,397 (Pro rata for part-time).
2. 24-40 hours per week - Office open hours 8am - 5pm Monday to Friday.
