Junior Technical Author at Edenred PayTech
Swindon - Hybrid
Edenred PayTech, a leading provider of innovative payment solutions, is seeking a talented Junior Technical Author to join our growing team in Swindon, UK. In this exciting role, you'll play a vital part in creating clear, concise, and user-friendly technical documentation for our cutting-edge payment solutions.
What you'll do:
1. Create product playbooks that give a plain English overview of Edenred Paytech’s B2B services, how they work and the benefits of using them. Clear definition of client responsibilities, an integration guide (usually API based) and listing prerequisites should be included in the playbooks.
2. Create other documentation (such as release notes, FAQs, and user manuals) to be part of the product release process.
3. Engage with the development team and business stakeholders to ensure relevant documentation is produced.
4. Edit and proof-read documentation created by others before publishing.
5. Review and maintain existing documentation to ensure it is still correct.
6. Develop, introduce, and communicate guidelines for documentation to ensure all technical information is consistent, correct, and professional.
7. Represent and understand end-users to ensure product features are clearly communicated.
What we're looking for:
1. A positive attitude and outlook, whilst also being determined, enthusiastic and resilient.
2. Ability to work with external international clients and 3rd parties in a customer facing business.
3. Quick learner within a fast-paced environment.
4. Able to work independently with agreed remit and autonomy.
5. Highly organised, with experience of working within an agile environment.
6. At least a year of demonstrable experience working as a technical author OR demonstratable experience working in a role where technical writing was one of your responsibilities.
7. Experience working with software developer audiences.
8. The ability to communicate complex technical ideas simply, clearly, and concisely.
9. A strong academic background, ideally with a science, engineering, or computer related degree.
10. The ability and enthusiasm to learn new cutting-edge technology.
11. Strong investigative and analytical skills, with an attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
