Our client is a high-profile, luxury interior designer based in the South Kensington area looking for a Head of Business Development to join their team. Within this role, you will lead the business development side of the business, focusing on building long-lasting relationships with clients and consultants and looking after existing ones within the company. To be suitable for this role, you must have experience working for either a high-end interior designer or architecture practice with existing relationships. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and proactive, with a proven track record of getting high results and being target-orientated, showing growth year on year.
The Role
* To correspond with new enquiries, gaining the information required to put together fee proposals etc.
* To spearhead the updating of marketing documents and strategic approach with future marketing material required.
* To send out marketing data to relevant leads, and log and manage this process to completion.
* Analysis of projects won and lost, deriving patterns and working with the KPL team to achieve them again or to avoid actions which caused loss of projects.
* To update the CRM database with all new or possible leads, logging their journey with the company.
* Put together fee proposals, contracts and terms and conditions using our existing templates or working with the KPL team to improve the templates should this be required.
* Participate in face-to-face pitches in the UK and internationally.
* To attend networking events within and outside working hours to continue to nurture and harness new connections within the design industry, contracting industry and Client network. This is about all our key working hubs in the UK and internationally.
* Create pitch documentation using InDesign.
* Liaise with the PR team regarding brand development and strategy between the two departments.
* Weekly reporting to the Founder and the Managing Director.
* Communicating regularly to all Heads of Department to check there is no overlap in lead chasing and generally coordinate the process.
* Provide financial reports and forecasting on new business for management review in Heads of Department meetings.
* Provide a strategic annual overview and Calendars about the role.
* General related administrative duties.
The Candidate
* A bachelor’s degree is preferred but not essential.
* Experience working in a high-end design or architecture practice, or similar which has enabled a strong contact base to be developed.
* Relevant industry experience of at last four years.
* Competent in the following programs: Microsoft Office, CRM, Photoshop and InDesign.
* Excellent verbal and written communication.
* Highly organised, a great team player and numerically literate.
* Ownership of the role and responsibilities given, driving growth and excellence in their work.
