JOB PURPOSE The Talent and Innovation team is responsible for designing and implementing Global Talent Management Practices & Careers Framework (including robust process for data driven Talent & Progression decisions built around our SPEL framework). This team focuses on developing Power of One initiatives – building excellent quality products once for deployment consistently across Unilever. These innovative, world class HR interventions are designed to support the organisation deliver competitive business growth and drive the priorities of the ULE and business strategy. The Talent & Innovation Manager has a dual responsibility for the following: Global talent innovation and design projects. This role will take responsibility for designing a number of the principles and processes in our global talent management system. Supporting the Talent & Organisation Leads on talent management deployment and scaled BG talent priorities on a ‘flow to basis’ i.e. moving between projects depending on priority. All products/interventions are deployed through the BG or UBO. RESPONSIBILITIES Typical responsibilities will include: Leading a squad on a particular intervention on behalf of the whole team, sourcing external insights, industry best practice and trends together with business context and strategy and speaking with HRBPs and employees to understand context, challenges and practicalities of how the product /intervention needs to be developed and deployed for success and to meet business needs. Working closely with other expertise and HR colleagues (HR Tech, Reward, People Analytics, ED&I, People Experience, HRBPs), understanding the right people to connect & collaborate with to deliver the best outcomes with speed and involving all relevant stakeholders Works closely with the Learning & T&O team to develop and train Line Leaders on effective performance management techniques, goal setting, check point discussions and meaningful differentiation. Supporting in the development of frameworks and toolkits for assessing potential and driving key talent retention Working on key talent initiatives in support of BG Talent and Organisation leads according to prioritization and urgency Building fluency in data, understanding which metrics are important, where insights can be drawn and able to integrate into thinking and development of products and interventions and driving the usage of single source of truth data across the HR organisation SCOPE This role will need to be accountable for and participate in decision making with peers across a wide cross functional network thinking with a global lens to ensure connectivity to the business and strategy to ensure relevance and success of products and initiatives. They will also contribute fully to solutions and for iconic launches, may need to be responsible for and/or support implementation in partnership with other expertise colleagues and HRBPs. ALL ABOUT YOU Experiences & Qualifications Relevant Experience in Talent Management and other areas of HR, understanding the HR landscape and able to connect the dots. Ideally with some evidence of capability building and talent development through their previous experience. Used to working in a highly collaborative environment, being able to manage multiple stakeholders and understanding need for agility in thinking and approach, knowing when to pivot and adapt as business needs, external impacts and new technologies and/or systems and process prompt the need for a re-think or new approach. Location In 2020, Unilever announced the intention to build a new sustainable campus site in Kingston, London to house the employees who currently work in 100 Victoria Embankment in Blackfriars ("100VE"), Lever House in Kingston and Graze in Richmond, the build is due to be complete in early 2025. Most recently, in August 2024, we announced our intention to retain our premises in 100VE until our lease expires in 2027. We are due to consult with our existing workforce on the new proposal to retain 100VE for the duration of our lease. Therefore, until such a time consultation has concluded as to the retention of our 100VE office, this role will be based in 100 Victoria Embankment until early 2025 and then will move to the Kingston Campus.
